The World of Innovation
My role as member of the advisory board of Fundess GmbH München
Given the current (geo-)political, economic, technological, and demographic landscape, it is clear that innovation—the ability to generate and sustainably embed innovation—has become one of the most important strategic success factors for regions, countries, and the EU, as well as for companies and institutions.
Innovation can only “thrive” if there is a corresponding culture and a suitable, effective, and efficient ecosystem. To this end, solutions must be developed both across the board (top-down) and for specific needs (bottom-up)—gradually and flexibly.
The aim of the workshop is to make a concrete contribution to this, with a focus on selected German regions and key stakeholders (funding agencies, research and innovation institutions, innovation divisions of established companies, banks and savings banks, Chambers of Industry and Commerce, universities, alumni/startup support, and others, including the Three-Pillar Model Community and angel investor communities, etc.).
A manifesto will soon be formulated as a Strategic Purpose Statement: articulating an overarching vision to strengthen Germany as a hub for innovation (as a framework and narrative) and defining specific priorities (types of companies, fields of expertise, etc.), and Fundess will outline a concrete innovation support program as a first step.
